Hi,

Prior to becoming a driving instructor I worked with children then after a few years I moved on to working with adults with learning disabilties and challenging behaviour.

Some years ago I decided on a career change.

As I love driving I thought I would combine the teaching skills that I had gained over many years with my love of driving and become a driving instructor.

So after much studying, hard work and determination, I went to work for a local company and eventually branched out on my own as Topgear.

We all like to think we are the best drivers in the world, including myself.

Although a safe competent driver, after many years of driving I had developed some bad habits, which were difficult to break.

So I can fully understand my pupils points of view when they say.

''There is so much to learn''.

I have endless amounts of patience, and as one former pupil once said ''Your voice is so calming you could do those

relaxation cds''

I spent the rest of the lesson checking she was still awake!!!

I strive to make your learning fun,enjoyable and tailored to your own personal needs. We do not forget the serious aspects of learning to drive and the legal responsabilities on the road but driving should be an enjoyable experience and not a chore.

I teach you safe driving for life. NOT just to pass a test.
